LAFF launches its call for entries for its ninth edition , announcing its selection committee and A new competition
LAFF is accepting applications for participation in its different sections held from 6 to 12 March 2020. The festival is accepting films from 15 September to 15 December 2019 .
Participating films must be produced during 2019 by African directors, from inside or outside Africa.
Director Azza Elhosseiny , LAFF executive director , announced members of the selection committee including the directors saad Hendawy , Ahmed Fawzi Saleh , Ahmed Rashwan , actress Salwa Mohamed Ali , film critics Amel Elgamel and Ossama Abdel Fattah .
Actor Mahmoud Hemeida the president of honor of LAFF announced a new competition titled " African Diaspora film competition " targeting African directors Who live outside Africa .
Luxor African film Festival is organized by Independent Shabab Foundation (ISF) with the support of the Ministries of Culture, Foreign Affairs, Tourism, Youth and the National Bank of Egypt in cooperation with Luxor governorate and the Syndicate of the Egyptian film makers .
