Mahmoud Yassin was an Egyptian actor. He was an iconic actor in both Egyptian cinema and television, portraying dramatic, psychological and romantic roles. He passed away on 13 October 2020 at the age of 79 after a long struggle with illness. The renowned Egyptian actor was born in Port Said city in June 1941. Yassin graduated from the Faculty of Law at Cairo University in 1964. He debuted his artistic career by joining the National Theatre in 1963. Yassin has an acting career that spanned over 55 years. He participated in tens of movies, plays and radio and TV series. He was the main star for most of the 1970s and 1980s movies. His cinematic repertoire houses a number of immortal movies such as “ El Rosasa la Tazal fe Geeby” (The Bullet is Still in My Pocket), “ El Kheet el Rafie”, “ Ayan Akly” (Where is My Mind). He received numerous awards for excellence throughout his career
