Saad Elkersh graduated in 1989 from Faculty of Media at Cairo University. Elkersh has two series of stories: Ports for Departure (1993) and Eternity Tree (1998). He has also published five novels. He has also published three books including testimonies on what happened in Egypt since the dawn of the 2011 January revolution. Elkersh has published articles, studies as well as covered film festivals for several magazines. His newest book, In Praise of Movies: Festivals, Cities and People adored by Cinema, will soon hit the bookstands. Elkersh is currently holding the position of Chief Editor of Al-Helal Magazine.
