Sound Designer

Ahmed Gaber is a sound engineer who specialised in working in cinema. He graduated from the Academy of Arts from the High Cinema Institute in 1990, after studying sound engineering. He worked as a teaching assistant in the institute from 1992 to 2001. He also worked as an audio sound mixer for music and songs with musician Mohamed Nouh from 1990 to 2997, and worked as an assistant of sound editing in Youssef Chahine’s film The Destiny, where he worked with French editor Annette Dutertre. He worked in sound mixing and design from 1997 and till now, where he participated in films like Adel Adib’s Hysteria, Daoud Abdel Sayed’s Ard Al-Khouf, Radwan Al-Kashef’s Araq Al-Balah, Samir Abu Seif’s Maali Al-Wazer, Kamla Abu Zekry’s Malek w Ketaba, Mohamed Khan’s Fe Shaket Masr Al-Gdeda, and several other films. He was awarded many prizes, one of which is the best sound mixing from the Egyptian Film Critics Association Festival for his work in Ard Al-Khouf in 2001, as well as the prize for best sound mixing from the National Film Festival for his work in the film LaMoukhza in 2015.
