She completed degrees in Architecture and Urban Design at the Bartlett and a MA in TV Documentary at Goldsmith College. Kamya worked at BBC London in 2003 before returning to Kampala to start her company Ivad Productions in 2004. Her long narrative IMANI was screened at Berlinale 2010 and Luxor African Film Festival 2012.
