Guest of Honor: Côte d'Ivoire, celebrating 50 years of cinema
After its independence in 1960, Côte d'Ivoire Cinema was launched in 1964 with the short film On The Dunes of Loneliness which was directed by Timité Bassori and Korogo by George Keita. Among the cinematic landmarks: Concerto for an Exile by Desiré Ecaré (1969), Djelli "(1981) by Fadhika Kramo-Lancine and recently Run (2014), directed by Philippe Lacôte.
