He teaches animation at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Minia University while being the director of ASIFA Egypt, and a member of the Council of the International Federation of Animation representing Africa and the Arab world. He participated in many international festivals as a director, and as a member of the jury, or a lecturer for animation in Africa. He also wrote two books on animation in the Arab world and Africa. Ghazala was awarded an animation award in Nigeria 2010.
