Synopsis: New Zealand, 2006. Sean Davison spent his days next to Patricia, his 85 years-old dying mother who used to be a respected doctor and psychiatrist. Diagnosed with cancer, Patricia went on a hunger strike for 35 days until she realized that it was in vain. So she begged Sean to end her life with a lethal dose of morphine and the impact this had on his life. As Euthanasia and assisted suicide are illegal in New Zealand, Sean was charged with murder and assisted suicide.
