Born 1968 to an artistic family in Brussels, she lived in a diverse musical and poetic styles, from French, Indian, Egyptian, Syrian, and Iraqi songs. Benali studied graphic art at Saint Lucas University. In cinema, she participated in films such as "Men's Season" directed by the Tunisian Moufida Tlatli, "Swing" by Tony Gatliff, and "Fatwa" by Mahmoud Ben Mahmoud. For her role in this film, she won the Best Actress Award at the Black Screen Festival in Cameroon. Her latest appearance was in “A Tale of Love and Desire” by Leyla Bouzid.
