Since 2014, and the Watch and Draw workshop has been taking place in Luxor to screen various Egyptian animation films according to the children's ages. It also includes discussing and conducting a dialogue with the children about the films and trying to understand the children's impressions about what they watched and affected by as well as. The Luxor workshop has been the spark that led to the developing other workshops not only in Upper Egypt by in Cairo, and abroad in the Sharjah Children's Festival in UAE.
An Egyptian animation and documentary film director and the former president of the Nile Family and Child Channel. She served as a president and jury member in several Egyptian and Arab international film festivals. Florida University in the USA keeps some of her animation works. Shwikar was honored in LAFF in 2013 for her leading role in the African animation art and she received about 40 Egyptian, Arab and international awards. Shwikar is holding a monthly workshop “Egyptian Animation Club” in cooperation with the Cultural Development Fund at the Cairo Opera House. She was honored in several film festivals including the Egyptian National Film Festival 2008 and the Egyptian Catholic Center Cinema Festival 2019.
