In three previous Editions, ASEFA Egypt, the regional chapter of the International Association for Animation Filmmakers has organized several workshops for Animation training and production in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine Arts in Luxor and with trainers from several countries, such as France, India, Egypt, Cameroon and Niger.
Many artists attended the previous workshops and produced short animation films about their countries and their different cultural backgrounds from Egypt, Libya, the Comoros, Kenya, Cameroon, Tanzania, and Rwanda. They have learned different techniques between manual and digital animation.
During this LAFF Edition, ASEFA Egypt organizes a new workshop on animation techniques which will result an animation short film with a number of young trainees from Luxor and abroad.
Professor of Animation at Faculty of Fine Arts in the University of Minya, and the Head of the Visual and Digital Production Department at Effat University, Saudi Arabia. He produced several award-winning animation films including “Khof Honayn” which received the Best Animation Film Award in AMAA in Nigeria. He is the Vice President of the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA) and the Representative of the society in Africa and the Arab World. He has published several researches and books on animation films including “Animation Cinema in Africa” and “Animation in the Arab World”.
